STEEAE Members are:

  • Exclusively, Car Rental Companies from all over Greece
  • All international brands, operating in Greece (Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, Leaseplan, Sixt, Thrifty etc.) have selected STEEAE as their exclusive representative.

 

PROFESSIONAL CODE OF CONDUCT

It is the only professional organization in the industry that has implemented a Professional Code of Conduct

  • The Code focuses on the provision of high quality services and the transparency of transactions
  • There is a procedure of auditing of its Members by the Ethics Committee and imposing sanctions
  • A technical expert, a representative of the Greek National Tourism Organisation or of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) participates in the Ethics Committee, as appropriate
  • There is co-operation on complaints and charges with the General Secretariat for Consumers, the European Consumer Center and the major Consumer Protection Organizations (Consumer Institute – INKA, Life Quality Association – EPOIZO, Consumer Protection Center – KEPKA etc.)

 

GREEK TOURISM CONFEDERATION (SETE)

It is the only organization in the industry, member of Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE)

  • A STEEAE representative is member of SETE’s Board of Directors

 

APPEAL COMMITTEE OF THE MINISTRY OF TOURISM

Represents the industry in the Appeal Committee of the Ministry of Tourism where cases of violation of the existing legislation on the operation of Car Rental Companies are considered and the imposition of the provided sanctions is decided.

 

EUROPEAN CAR AND TRUCK RENTAL ASSOCIATION

Represents Greece in the European Car and Truck Rental Association (ECATRA/LEASEUROPE) since 1985

  • Member of the following Groups, regularly meeting in Brussels:

  • Car Renting Working Group
  • Truck Rental Working Group
  • Car Leasing Working Group

and other supporting services to its Members and informs them about market and industry developments.

Maintains close relations

with the relevant European organizations and bodies (Ecatra/Leaseurope), creative exchange of views on critical issues and monitors developments across Europe.
